Gimme, Gimme, Gimme

Soap Box time…

I had a conversasion with a person that was belly aching that they didn’t have enough money to make ends meet. She was wondering if my church could give her some food. We were interupted by a text on her new I phone, saying her kid is sick and needed to pick her up, so she jumped in her new 2010 car and drove off.

In todays society, people are always looking for hand outs and the easy way out. People are fast to blame the government for the life the they lead, not looking at what they do have. Is it the is government fault that people are having kid at a early age and out of wedlock?

Didn’t go to college?

Can’t balance a check book?

People need to be held accountable for their own actions and learn from them. Man up people! You need to prepare and work for a goal, that is what a democracy does. Most people I have talk to about having a “bad life” are the ones that complain they can’t pay the bills and then when payday rolls around they want go run up a tab at the bar or “needs” something that they simply want to keep up with the Joneses.

I live in Flint Michigan, the auto industry spoiled our parents in the fact that they could get a really good paying  job with little or no skills and no education.Well those jobs are long gone now and we must earn our way to have a good life. The technology luxuries wasn’t there either, no cable bill, internet bill, cell phone bill, etc… The government isn’t here to support you, that’s socialism. Go back to school, look at all the luxuries you have and see what you can do without.

$400 cell phone?

$200 bar tab?

 $500 new car note?

 $100 jeans?

The list goes on and on… So next time you start to complain about your life remember what you have, is it what you want or something you need.

Heat vs beer, house payment or a mp3 player… tough choice isn’t ?
