Prada or Realtree…

As the busiest days of shopping are winding down I have an observation I have seen. Men complain about women and their  shopping, well let me tell you, hunters are just as bad if not worse. Let me throw some numbers at you.

Bass Pro alone 3.4 billion in revenue, Cabela’s $463.8 million…That’s just the big dogs, Mom and Pop shops, travel, license fees…hunters are as bad as women when it comes to shopping, lets break it down, just gun hunters.

Hunters spend more than$1.4 billion annually, just hunting, if you throw fishing, camping and trapping in there it would double if not triple. A recession can be the best time for hunting. It’s an inexpensive escape. Once you’ve spent the money for a gun, clothing, and so on, the only costs are a license, ammo, food, and getting where you’re going.  Of the more than $10 billion spent by hunters, most (49%) goes for guns, ammunition, camping gear, vehicles, and other equipment. The rest goes for food and lodging, 19%; transportation, 16%; buying and leasing land, 9%; permits, licenses, and other government fees, 4%.

That’s some serious cheese, and I will admit I am one of those men. I can’t wait to try out new stuff to make my hunt better and more enjoyable. I now  frequent a website that can help save some money.  If you want to save some money, Mike S. a good friend of mine directed me to a website called camofire (www.camofire.com). This site offers different items for a huge discount, you need to check back often because they don’t tell ya the deals. It’s almost like opening up a present and if you don’t like it, don’t buy it.

I just wonder when Realtree is going to start a fashion show with the cat walk and everything…
