No outdoors blog today. I have been bothered by this for a while.
Why is everybody so down on Tim Tebow?
Tim Tebow is the ideal role model.
The media has exposed his religion and ran with it.
Tim Tebow is proud he is a Christian, he doesn’t try to hide it, he will talk about his walk in faith.
This is the kicker…when asked.
So why not go after the media? Here is an interview and listen to the questions asked:
Now why not all the backlash to this awesome Andy Dalton interview?
Andy Dalton clearly qouted a great verse in the bible, when they weren’t talking about his faith, where is the backlash? There are many Christians in the NFL, they have been “Tebowing” for years after the game. Nothing was ever said.
I was at work last year on a Sunday when The broncos beat the vikings, you would not beleive the bashing in the breakroom about this man, it was brutal. Only thing he did was help his team win a game.
Yes, Tim isn’t the best QB in the NFL, but he wins. He is a leader. Dan Marino one of the best QBs in NFL history went to the Super Bowl only one time. It takes more than talent to win, it takes leadership and movivation.
Tim Tebow in my opinion is the ideal Christian. He walks in his faith and is proud of it, he doesn’t care about the backlash. He is humble but confident. A leader and a role model. Someone, anyone can look up to.
Now don’t get me wrong, I am not going to go out and pick him 1st in my fantasy football draft, but when I did pick him up last year I did win 3 games in a row. He will be on my roaster!
I ponder that people are uncomfortable that someone with a strong faith in Christ is succeeding without being the best person on the field, maybe not even the best one on his team. I think people are scared because God is moving through him.
It’s almost like a raw nerve with some people. and they would rather numb it with critizism than accept that God is doing something with this person.
This man has been through trails in his life. Even before he was born. While pregnant, his mother suffered a life-threatening infection Doctors had expected a stillbirth and recommended an abortion, even though illegal in the Philippines, to protect her life, but she decided not to have one. He was shunned by many NFL draft experts, but was drafted in the 1st round. Then the experts said he wouldn’t be a QB. He started as a quaterback as a rookie on December 19th. His second season he started the 6th game after a 1 and 4 start and went on to give the Broncos a playoff birth and beat my beloved Steelers in the playoffs.
After the season the Broncos trade him to New York, he doesn’t waiver and expresses professionalism to the team that he was on and the team he is now on.
I have my own opinions why he was dealt to the biggest media market in the Untied States but I keep that to myself.
